One cannot deny the fact that Bhojpuri films have made an impact not only among the audiences in India, but overseas too. Catchy titles, latka-jhatka's, fighting sequences, foot tapping numbers, the films have it all that one can ask in the name of entertainment!

Well, then when the film industry is doing well then how can one leave behind the Bhojpuri stage shows. Yes, it might appear to be incredible, but it is true. The first ever overseas Bhojpuri stage shows 2007 will be held in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.

Bollywood stars performing stage shows in foreign lands are common and a known fact, but now surprise yourself with this one.

Bhojpuri film superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav "Niruha" will be performing a series of 11 Bhojpuri stage shows in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. The 20-day Bhojpuri stage show is the first ever of its kind and will kick off on the 16th of June in Sydney, Australia and will be held in 11 different cities.

Obviously, Bhojpuri films are all set to come into reckoning even across the Indian shores.

Musician promises superb performance

  • BHOJPURI film superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav also known as Niruha and famous for his hit Til Gum gauwa, has promised a superb performance to his audience.
  • Mr Yadav who arrived in Fiji with a group of musicians, singers and a dancer, is also known for his hit Niruha Satal Rahep.
  • On his arrival he said Fiji was similar to his home country India and he felt at home straight away.
  • Mr Yadav of Bhojopuri Films will stage eight shows in Fiji, with the first in Labasa last night.
  • Promoter Ajay Singh of Stardom Entertainment said the Labasa show was a sellout.
  • He said Mr Yadav's shows would be memorable.
  • "He's a very powerful performer and can really entertain and interact with his audience," Mr Singh said. He said the group consisted of three singers, five musicians and a dancer.
  • "This group is from Uttar Pradesh, otherwise known as the heart of India," he said.
  • He said actress Paakhi was someone most people would look forward to.
  • Mr Singh said the group had most recently performed in Sydney and Brisbane in Australia.
  • The group will be at Govind Park in Ba on Thursday night, Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on Friday night and in Suva on Saturday at Vodafone Arena, Laucala Bay.
  • They will be in Sigatoka for a show on Sunday, Lautoka on Monday and in Nadi on June 26. 2007.
  • Their final show will be in Tavua on June 28. 2007

Actress Paakhi heghde (above) entertains the 4000 people at Churchill Park in Lautoka to witness a show by one of India's popular musicians Dinesh Lal Yadav. The group has been performing in the country since last week.

Mr Yadav, known as Niruha, and famous for his hits Til Gum Gauwa and Niruha Satal Rahep did not let his fans down as he performed all his hits.

Promoter, Ajay Singh of Stardom Entertainment, said the turn out was beyond their expectations. Mr Singh said the group comprised three singers, five musicians and a dancer from Uttar Pradesh.

He said actress Paakhi heghde was someone that most people wanted to watch.
